Pavla Vařáková
received her dance education at the Duncan Center Conservatory in Prague, where in from 2006 to 2011 she studied contemporary dance, creation, improvisation and pedagogy. After Upon successful graduation, she moved to London, where she continued her studies at London Contemporary Dance School and where until 2015 she worked as an artist at freelance. He enriches his dance education by practicing yoga, by attending various dance workshops and improvisation jams. During your stay in London collaborated with Mara Vivas, Peishan Chiew, Vanessa Downie, for studios studied the repertoire of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and was part of the project Dance in paintings at the Czech Olympic House at the London 2012 Olympics under the direction of Petra The Hauers. He is one of the founders of the EKS dance company, which connects the present art with various artistic styles and in addition to its projects organizes dance workshops for ZUŠ pupils and the public. Pavla also devotes herself to her own work, collaborating with international artists and musicians. Together with Maiken Marlen Sundby, she co-led the structured improvisation Mind Yourself at the Art Represent Gallery in London. The L / Edge dance and music collaboration won the Jarmila Jeřábková Award at the New Europe Festival 2015. In the years 2017-2019 she worked as a dance teacher at the Bedřich Smetana Art School in Litomyšl. He currently teaches at the Duncan Institute of Eva Blažíčková and leads the dance group Kredance company in České Budějovice.
